Alphabet agencies are notorious for doing exactly the opposite of what their names imply. The Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) ensures financial crimes are swept under a bulging rug, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) obscures transparency on unregulated Exchange Traded Futures (ETFs) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is there to cryptically introduce poisons into the food chain for major Chemicals and Agro-Biz players. The humble Honey Bee never stood a chance!
Apart from outrage and indignation, how does one receive news that the US EPA knowingly allowed bee killing compounds to be used in agriculture when their own scientists objected? Is management so detached from reality they would cut their own throats by inviting a man-made catastrophe by ending natural pollination? Apparently, that’s pretty much nails it on the head, even the chief of the agency can claim limited knowledge, blame the debacle on collective responsibility, Socialism’s great for a few.
In fable, legend, poetry and the like, bees have held a special place for humanity if only because the end product of their industrous lives is the incomparable taste of the sweetest portion of nature’s bounty. The import of Infidel Honey (sugar) into Europe by returning Crusaders in the 12th century didn’t manage to put a dent in the bona fide honey market till the Caribbean Plantations came into full production some 400 years after. And the distinct taste would always remain preferable in ritual drinks.
The problem with ignoring the bee dilemma is the end result of apathy won’t be a slow withering process, one day ordinary food production can simply fall of a cliff. And nobody’s quite certain if stopping the use of deadly chemicals now will herald a recovery in tanking bee colonies so severely effected. With the entry of the next US administration post election, the chosen men of the winning party will warm the chairs on Alphabet street but you can bet your life continuity of negligence is pre-ordained.
Wth such astounding amounts of evidence to the contrary, the system soldiers on in pretence. Their relentless attack on anyone who questions approval methods amply attests they serve vested interests yet the American public hasn’t remedy or recourse. Vulture capitalism’s carrion bird Bald Eagle is a fitting symblol. Perhaps the movement to restore the US Constitution should adopt the bee for their badge and flag, it’s as industrious as Americans once were and likewise in desperate need of deliverance.
