The Mounties may as well be pitching paper SLVs in support of JP Morgan’s shorts with this low-key, hardly attributed CBC story, a Silver Bug being bum-rushed in his home to be robbed of his fortune in metal. No mention of security measures or guns. The clues are few too but the important bit is there on the tail end where we’d expect it;
“[Do not] keep a significant amount of precious metal or money in your home like that. And if you do that, be sure to keep that information to yourself because obviously these people knew what they were looking for,”
The moral of the story being, if you buy metals to safeguard against fiat currency devauluation, you will get robbed and nobody can help you, especially the sainted Mounties. No no, what they say about Canadians isn’t true. That major bust of BC Bud, half of which disappeared from evidence lockup must be taking full effect now. Read more…
